Vermilion Evacuation Thursday, September 11, 2008 (383 reads)
The Vermilion Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and the Vermilion Parish Police Jury President, on the advice of the Weather Bureau, has called a Mandatory Evacuation of Vermilion Parish below LA Highway 14 to include all of Erath and Delcambre due to expected flooding similar to Hurricane Rita.
For Medical Special Needs Patients, a mandatory evacuation has been called for patients below LA Hwy. 14 and on the West side of the Parish from the Meridian Line Road to the Cameron and Jeff Davis Parish lines.
